Hale & Hearty Soups was founded in the summer of 1995. "Hale & Hearty" is a phrase from Shakespeare that means "healthy and well nourished". Their first store was located at 64th Street and Lexington Avenue, and has since grown to 17 locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island.

 Hale & Hearty soups are all home-made from scratch under the watchful eye of their talented chefs. Every recipe used has been developed in house by Hale & Hearty’s Executive Chef. All soups are made with high quality, fresh ingredients that are hearty enough to be a meal. Many are so thick, you could eat them with a fork!
